TASK LIGHTING
Task lighting is a localised light source in a person’s work area directed on a task.
Use of Task lighting can significantly reduce overall lighting demands by effectively putting the light where it is needed. Task lighting improves the quality of light by allowing the user to control the direction and intensity of light on their work area. This flexibility is important to compensate for differences in vision between people.
By adjusting their task light the user can avoid glare and compensate for changes in daylight.
Good Task lighting is a profitable investment:
- Greater accuracy and higher productivity.
- Correct work area lighting levels eliminate eye strain, stress and depression. Consult AS/ NZS1680 which recommends lux levels for different activities.
- Energy savings.
- Installation is easy.
- Easy lamp replacement and cleaning.
